Brazing: It is a joining method which is used to join similar or dissimilar metals with the help of some filler material. The liquidus temperature of this filler material should be more than 427o Celsius but it is limited by solidus temperature of base metal.

The brazing process is carried out at the temperature above 450oC and the parts to be joined are kept at a very close distance. The distance between the parts is generally 0.4 mm to 0.6 mm. The small spacing ensures that the liquid metal seeps inside the small spacing through capillary action.
