Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The grain product can be refined grains or whole grains. In refined grains, the outer layer (bran and germ) is almost removed during the milling process, and only endosperm is obtained as the end product. In this process, some of the vitamins B, iron, phytochemicals, and dietary fibers are lost. To enrich refined grains, additional folic acid, thymine, niacin, riboflavin, and iron are added externally. Fibers are non-nutritional components that are important for the digestion and maintaining healthy condition.
