Concept explainers
To Explain:The contributions of Newton to the physics.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
In physics, Newton gave the three laws of motion that describesthe relation between the following two-
- The force that acts on a body
- The motion of the body
He discovered the principle for conversation of momentum and also,
Newton published his laws of motion in 1678. These laws of motion focused the relationship between motion & force and became the principle of mechanics. Newton’s laws of motion gave the shape to modern physics. His work helps us understand the behavior of an object under following conditions:
- When the object is still
- When the object moves
- When the force is acted upon the object
These laws correlate everything in everyday life.
Conclusion:
Thus, Newton’s laws of motion and his discovery of gravity were his greatest accomplishments in advancement of physics.
