Hypothalamus is a part of a brain that is present on the surface of the cerebrum. The primary function of the hypothalamus is to maintain the stability of the internal temperature of the body. The hypothalamus, nervous system, and endocrine system are linked by the pituitary gland. The gland consists of two lobes, the anterior lobe, as well as the posterior lobe.
