Summary Introduction
The residual, semi-solid material, that is formed as a by-product of the wastewater treatment is known as sludge. Wastewater treatment has three steps, primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment. The secondary treatment results in the formation of two types of sludge, granular and bulking sludge.
