Supercoiling is a unique or special property of double-stranded or circular DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). The supercoiling of DNA also changes the topology of DNA. It provides an explanation for the connection between spatial features of an object. Enzymes that are responsible for supercoiling are called topoisomerases.
