To Calculate: Height of the telephone pole.

Height of the telephone pole is $24$

Given information: A $60$ m tower casts a $50$ m shadow, while one half block away a telephone pole casts a $20$ m

shadow.

Formula used: Here, we are using the concept of hypotenuse leg similarity.

  

Calculation: Here, by using HL similarity

$\Delta ABC\sim \Delta DEF$

And, $\frac{AC}{DF}=\frac{BC}{EF}$

➔ $\frac{x}{60}=\frac{20}{50}$

➔ $x=24$

Hence, the height of the telephone pole is $24$
