(a) Obligate anaerobe
(b) Aerotolerant anaerobe
(c) Facultative anaerobe
(d) Obligate aerobe
(e) Reactive oxygen species
Introduction:
Aerobic organisms are those who obtain oxygen in order to extract energy from the nutrient molecules. Aerobic respiration is anoxygen-requiring energy generating mechanism, which has the ability to generate more energy than fermentation. Anaerobes, on the other hand, are those organisms that work without oxygen.
