The meaning of Learning chemistry involves questions- how to be objective, how to reason, and solve problems. In this subject, there are so many variables & consequences. Also, the answer is dependent upon many different concepts, factors, theories, etc.

Three operations that are involved in applying scientific methods are mentioned below:

  • Observations: Observations are what a person (or chemist) makes collecting data and theory is a group of connected ideas or concepts intended to describe something.
  • Experiment: Testing any supposition, principle, etc. is defined as an experiment. It is also known as a test, tentative, trial procedure of uncovering something unknown.
  • Hypothesis: The hypothesis is a specific, testable prediction. It elaborates, in concrete terms, what a person (or chemist) expects will happen in a certain circumstance.
After observations are completed, based on those observations, a hypothesis is created and then experiments are conducted. If the hypothesis turns out to be true, based on the experiments, the hypothesis can become a theory. According to this, hypothesis is based upon the observation made. These scientific methods help us understand our observations of nature. To see the occurred changes, scientists make repeated observations of phenomena. Each and every experiment will produce a new observation.
Conclusion

Every time we let go of something heavy, it falls to the ground is an observation. An experiment is a way to test a hypothesis.The hypothesis is a testable, tentative explanation for observations.
