To Explain: The way we can see ordinary, non-luminous classroom objects.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Objects which emit light by themselves are called luminous objects. Sun, stars, light bulbs, etc. are the best examples of luminous objects.Objects which do not reflect light are considered non-luminous objects.Sources of non-luminous objects include wood, plastics etc.
The illuminated object absorbs light and heat from the source of light and then reflects a certain amount of energy. If the illuminated surface reflects the light, the surface itself appears to emit light and they become visible to us.
The ordinary objects in the classroom are visible due to reflection of the light which falls on them.
Conclusion:
Ordinary, non-luminous classroom objects can be seen when they reflect light which falls on them from a luminous source.
