Introduction:

Red, blue and green are the three primary colors as mixing these three colors with proper intensity produces a white color. Wide range of colors can be produced by mixing of two or three of these basic colors with differing amounts of intensity.

It is given that one flashlight is wrapped with red cellophane and the other one is wrapped with the green cellophane. Since red cellophane transmits the red color, the light from the flashlight wrapped with red cellophane is red and the light from the flashlight wrapped with green cellophane is green. When the red and green light overlap it will produce yellow light.

Conclusion:

Therefore, yellow color light is produced when two beams overlap.
