The longitudinal wave can be polarized if they are in the same direction as the axis of the polarizing medium.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Longitudinal waves are waves in which the medium's displacement is in the same direction as, or direction opposite to, the wave's propagation direction.
Polarizing media contains long molecules with electrons that can oscillate or move back and forth. The direction of oscillation of the electrons makes the polarizing axis of the media. When a wave passes through the polarizing media, only those components of the wave which oscillate in the same direction as the electrons are passed. In other, only waves oscillating parallel to the axis can pass through.

Hence, the longitudinal wave can be polarized if they in the same direction as the axis of the polarizing medium.
