The structure of maltose is to be stated.
Concept introduction:
Maltose is a disaccharide formed from two units of glucose. There are two cyclic forms of maltose which exist as alpha and beta form. The name of the cyclic form depends upon the position of the substituents present at the anomeric center. Both the cyclic forms are stable.
