Interpretation:

The structure of a disaccharide $3\text{-}\text{O}\text{-}\beta \text{-}\text{D}\text{-}\text{glucopyranosyl}\text{-}\alpha \text{-}\text{D}\text{-}\text{arabinofuranose}$ is to be shown.

Concept Introduction:

A disaccharide is formed when a glycosidic bond is formed between two monosaccharides. Glycosidic bond is a covalent bond, which is formed between hemiacetal group of saccharide and alcohol group of other compound. Carbohydrates are also known as the reducing sugars as they reduce the oxidizing agent.
