Step 3: Change the “divided by” sign, ÷ to a “multiplied by” sign, × and invert the divisor fraction. Invert here means the denominator of divisor becomes the numerator and numerator of the divisor becomes the denominator.

Step 4: Simply write the multiplication of the obtained fractions.

Step 5: Find a common factor which divides at least one of the numerators and one of the denominators evenly.

Step 6: Divide the numerator and denominator by the corresponding common factor to reduce the expression.

Step 7: Repeat this process until there are no more common factors other than 1 are left.

Step 8: Now, multiply all the simplified numbers to get the lowest term.

Step 9: If the fraction obtained is an improper fraction then convert it into a whole or mixed number, otherwise if the fraction is proper fraction then stop.

840÷415
