The terms embryo and fetus are referred to the growing organism inside the mother's womb. The differentiation between fetus and embryo occurs during the gestational phase. Firstly, the zygote is formed after the fertilization of the sperm and the egg. Then, this zygote divides by mitosis to form a blastocyst, that implants at the uterus wall. Then, this blastocyst gets converted into embryo.
