Chapter 41, Problem 4TY
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Abaroreceptor is a receptor that is sensitive to changes in pressure. They are found in the atria of the heart and vena cava, but the most sensitive baroreflex is in the aortic arch and carotid sinuses.
They are stretch-sensitive mechanoreceptors. They respond very fast when there is a change in the blood pressure.
Thebaroreceptor reflexis a fascinating medical event. The baroreceptor reflex is also termed as baroreflex. The reflex is controlled by specific neurons that respond only in a fraction of a second to keep blood pressure literally compatible.

Which of the following lists the events of the cardiac cycle in thecorrect order?a. both atria contract, then both ventriclesb. both ventricles contract, then both atriac. left atria and left ventricle contract, then right atria and rightventricled. right atria and right ventricle contract, then left atria and leftventricle
If a person‘s heart rate is 180 beats per minute, what would be the frequency in Hz.
Why is resting heart rate somewhat slower than the 80–100 bpm set by the SA node?
The AV bundle branches slow the heart rate down.
Sympathetic fibers release norepinephrine to slow heart rate.
The AV node slows the heart to an average between its own rate and that of the SA node.
Parasympathetic effects dominate in a resting individual
