To review:

The structure of phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP), and give a reason as to why it has a high transfer potential of phosphoryl group.

Introduction:

PEPis the product of the glycolysis process in which glucose gets converted into pyruvate. PEP has high phosphoryl group. It donates its phosphate group to adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to produce two molecules of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and itself gets converted to pyruvate.
