Glucose is the mostcommonly used energy source in our body. It can be easily converted from other carbohydrate sources. Although when body glucose level is very low and there isno other carbohydrate source from which glucose can be synthesized, anoncarbohydrate source can be used to produce glucose. This process is known as gluconeogenesis.
