First need to know about the non-response bias. It is occurred when the results of not having data for everybody in the sample.
For this study, the results were collected by online poll. Therefore, the sample is not a random sample and because the sample suffers from non-response bias. The people who participate in such a study are often the people with the strongest opinions and thus results may be inaccurate. Hence, confidence interval is worthless.
