Introduction:
The small organelle in the cytoplasm of a cell that contains reducing enzymes is called peroxisomes. They also have oxidase enzymes. The β-oxidation of the cell occurs in peroxisomes. The β-ketoacyl-CoA-thiolase is an enzyme associated with β-oxidation.
