Chapter 13, Problem 40RQ
Summary Introduction
To explain:
The effect of dinitrophenol on photosynthesis.
Introduction:
Photosynthesis is a biochemical pathway in which carbon dioxide and water are converted to carbohydrates (mainly glucose) and oxygen in the presence of sunlight. Dinitrophenol or DNP is a water-soluble, crystalline soli, dsed as an herbicide to prevent the growth of herbs. This compound is highly hazardous for animals, and is related to developmental disorders.
