Are a drug’s side effects necessarily bad?
Whether the drug’s side effects necessarily bad.
Answer to Problem 2RQ
No, drug’s side effects are not necessarily bad. In certain conditions the use of drug has been proved to be beneficial for the treatment of another disease as well as foundation for various researches.
Explanation of Solution
When the use of drug affects the other aspect more than the target issue then the side effect occurs. A side effect of drug is not always bad. In various cases the side effect of drug has proved to be a cure for another disease. Also they have laid foundation for various researches. This can be better illustrated with an example of Sildenafil (Viagra), earlier used for treatment of angina. But its side effect resulted as penile erection in human body, which was not a bad side effect.
Conclusion:
Therefore, due to various examples where a side effect can lead to cure various diseases, we can say that drug’s side effects are not necessarily bad.
