Explanation of Solution

Neuron − Specialized cells that help you gather information about your environment, interpret the information, and react to it.

Dendrites − These are the structures in neuron that receive impulses from other neurons and transmit them to cell body.

Cell body − It contains the nucleus and other organelles of the neuron.

Axon − It is the region of neuron that carries electrical impulse from the cell body of a neuron to the other neurons and muscles.

Reflex arc − It is the nerve pathway that consists of a sensory neuron, interneuron, and the motor neuron. It is the basic structure of the nervous system.

Action potential − It is the nerve impulse.

Threshold − It is the minimum stimulus required to produce the action potential.

Node − A gap found in myelin sheath along the length of axon.

Synapse − The gap between the axon of a neuron and the dendrite of next neuron.

Neurotransmitter − It is the chemical that diffuses across the synapse and binds to receptors on the dendrite of a neighboring cell.
