Introduction:
Sensory receptors are basically the dendrites of sensory neurons. These receptors function to receive information from the stimulus. Five main types of sensory receptors are, pain receptors, chemoreceptors, mechanoreceptors, thermoreceptors, and photoreceptors.
Explanation of Solution
Rods − These are photoreceptor cells found in the retina. These cells are sensitive to light and give good vision in dim light.
Cones − These are photoreceptor cells found in the retina. They respond to the light depending on its wavelength.
