Summary Introduction

To determine:

The color of plants on other planets

Introduction:

Biologist Nancy Kiang developed a hypothesis suggesting the colors of alien plants. The most abundant type of star called M-type star in the galaxy emits redder and dimmer light as compared to the sun. If plants evolve on an alien planet which revolves around M-star, the photosynthetic pigment would absorb all the light of visible spectrum reflecting no light.

Consider plants that live in a forest's top, middle, or ground layer, as well as algae that live near the ocean's surface or in deep water. Would you expect the same photosynthetic pigments to be present in these different environments in the same species? Why do you think that is the case? What method would you use to test your hypothesis?
What will likely happen to your plant if it will be placed in a dark area with no light?  A.The plant will not be able to absorb sunlight B.No chlorophyll will be formed and the leaves will become whitish or pale yellow C.Plants will evolve to adapt in an environment with no light D.BothA and B E. BothA and C
. Plants can harvest the energy from light, but also rely on light as a stimulus to control other processes. Briefly describe one example of how plants use light for something other than photosynthesis, including the processes, structures and/or molecules involved.
