Ceramics:

Ceramics are non-metallic, inorganic, non-molecular solids.  It comprises both crystalline materials (quartz) and amorphous materials (glass).  Pottery and porcelain are made up of silicate ceramics by applying high temperature to aluminosilicate clays.  Ceramics such as silicon carbide and silicon nitride are stable upto 1400-15000C and does not oxidize in air because they are completely oxidized.
