The asexual reproduction in plants to form a new plant is termed as vegetative reproduction. In this process a new plant can be grown from a fragment of the parent plant. A plant like liverworts and mosses reproduces through this process. They form spores that disperse to form new plants. The vegetative reproduction maintains the uniformity of features in plants, produce genetically identical plants, and the reproduction rate is high.
