Summary Introduction

To review:

The reasons for regulation of the steps in the citric cycle.

Introduction:

A series of biochemical reactions take place in order to release energythat is stored in a 2-carbon acetyl compound in all living aerobic organisms. These compounds are called acetyl-CoA (coenzyme A), which are oxidized by the process of the citric acid cycle or Krebs cycle. This cycle occurs in the matrix region of the mitochondria in a living cell.
