Both DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) and RNA (ribonucleic acid) are made up of nucleotide and each nucleotideis made up of nitrogenous bases. DNA is made up of adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine. On the other hand, RNA contains uracil instead of thymine. When a nucleotide, present in a stable DNA, changes due to various reasons, it is known as mutation. Even though mutation is one of the sources of variation in life, mutation gets removed by the DNA repair system.
