Interpretation:

A molecular view of 1.0 M NaCl, 2.0 M NaCl and 1.0 M Na2S solution must be drawn using different symbols for different ions. The solution with the least total number of ions must also be circled.

Greater the molarity of an ionic compound, greater is the number of ions present in the solution.

Explanation of Solution

The molecular view of the three solutions is shown. Red dots represent ${\text{Na}}^{+}$ ions, black dots represent ${\text{Cl}}^{-}$ ions and green dots represent ${\text{S}}^{2-}$ ions.

The number of ${\text{Na}}^{+}$ ions is the same for 2.0 M NaCl and 1.0 M Na₂S solution.

The number of ${\text{Na}}^{+}$ and ${\text{Cl}}^{-}$ ions is double for 2.0 M NaCl as compared to 1.0 M NaCl solution. The number of ${\text{S}}^{2-}$ ions is half as compared to ${\text{Na}}^{+}$ ions in 1.0 M Na₂S solution.
