Summary Introduction
To review:
The description of the principal features of chemiosmotic theory.
Introduction:
Chemiosmosis is a chemical process that takes place in the mitochondria when the cell respires, and in the chloroplasts when a plant cell photosynthesizes. In the mitochondria, this process takes place in the inner membrane. The chemiosmotic hypothesis was given by Peter Mitchell in the year 1961.
