The Igf2 is the gene, which is present in mammals, which exhibits epigenetic inheritance. The methylation of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid)occurs at a specific site called the ICR, which is located between the Igf2 gene and the H19 gene. There is the formation of the loop, which helps in the process of epigenetics and changes the gene expression.
