The role of recombinant DNA technology (RDT) in genetic studies.
Introduction:
RDT is a technique that is used for creating recombinant DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) molecule containing DNA from two different sources. RDT involves digestion of a vector molecule with a restriction enzyme (called molecular scissor) that cuts the DNA at their specific sites called restriction sites. Enzymes that cut DNA molecule are known as restriction enzymes. The two DNA then mixed and joined with the help of DNA ligase by forming a phosphodiester bond between two adjacent
