Axial skeleton − This skeletal system forms the vertical axis in the human body. It contains around 80 bones in total. The bones included here are vertebral column, head, ribs, and sternum.

Appendicular skeleton − This skeletal system contains 126 bones and involves appendages and their attachments. The free appandages are formed by limbs and their attachments involve girdle.
