Introduction:
Glucose-1-phosphate is a phosphate molecule with a phosphate group on 1’ carbon. It can exist in two anomeric forms: α-glucose-1-phosphate and β-glucose-1-phosphate. Glucose-6-phosphate is a phosphorylated glucose sugar. The phosphorylation is at the hydroxy group on carbon 6.
