Chapter 43, Problem 1SYK
Summary Introduction
To create: A concept map outlining the adaptive immunity and cells involved in humoral and cell-mediated immunities and their functions.
Introduction: The immune system can be classified into two types, namely innate immune system, and the adaptive immune system. The innate immune system is already present in human, that is, it functions from the time of birth. The adaptive immune system is also called an acquired immune system since an individual obtains it from infection. Adaptive immunity can be explained under two categories, namely cell-mediated immunity and humoral immunity.

Describe the role of the T lymphocytes in adaptive immunity
Compare and contrast humoral and cell-mediated immunity. Write three differences and two similarities in terms of function, purpose, types of cells involved, or mechanism. You may write in paragraph form or use a chart/diagram (e'g' Venn diagram) .
