The two stages in the respiratory cycle.
Introduction:
Respiratory system involves a group of organs which includes nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchioles, alveoli and lungs. It is involved in several functions such as exchange of gases, phonation, maintenance of pH and blood pressure.Respiration is also called as breathing. It is a process where oxygen moves in and carbon dioxide moves out of the lungs rhythmically. There are two types of respiration which are quiet respiration which means relaxed and automatic breathing and forced respiration which means unusual deep breathing.
