Summary Introduction

To analyze:

In electrophoretic analysis, if the gel contains two samples of individuals from which one is normal HbA and another has hereditary anemia, no difference is found in the electrophoretic mobility.

The reason behind it is to be described.

Introduction:

Electrophoresis is an experimental approach for separation of protein; the separation can be done on the basis of molecular weight of the protein and shape and charge under the electric field. The protein hasa maximum of 20 different amino acids, which are different in their molecular weight and charge. The molecular weight of the protein is dependent on the composition of amino acids and the molecular weight of one amino acid.

In electrophoresis, low molecular weight protein has low resistance, so it moves faster. The protein with high molecular weight moves slowly. Electrophoresis is a convenient device for an examination of the proteome. It permits separation of a variety of proteins; even proteins with minute differences can separate by this technique.
