at if Hess’s law were not true? What are some possible repercussions this would have?

Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

To determine the possible repercussions if the Hess’s law was not true.

Concept Introduction:

The Hess’s law states that the complete enthalpy of the reaction changes, which do not depend on the reaction steps, gives the total sum of all reactions taking place in the reaction.

Explanation

In a reaction, the Hess law will be true when the chemical reactions of two or more equations are summed up by giving a net reaction. The change of enthalpy in the reactions are also added algebraically which gives the net reaction of the total enthalpy in a reaction.

If this above principle is not true, then the reaction with chemical changes, even after many series with the created energy, will produce the same element with which the reaction started...
