Interpretation:

The electronic configurations of the given elements along with their reactivity are to be given.

Concept Introduction:

As per Bohr’s model of an atom, electrons are arranged in orbits. Orbits are circular paths in which electrons revolve around the nucleus. There can be a maximum of two electrons in the first orbit, eight electrons each in the second and third orbits and eighteen electrons in the fourth orbit.

The arrangement of electrons in an orbit is termed as electronic configuration. The atoms in which the orbits are completely filled are the least chemically reactive while those in which the orbits are incomplete are reactive.

Those elements thatexceed or are short by one or two electrons to attain the completely-filled configuration are chemically the most reactive. In comparison, those that differ by one electron from a completely-filled configuration are more reactive than those thatdiffer by two electrons.

The electrons present in the last orbit of the electronic configuration of an atom are called valence electrons. If two elements have the same number of valence electrons, theywill have similar properties.

a) He

Helium is a chemical element that contains 2 electrons in it. Its electronic configuration is 2. It is chemically the least reactive as it has a completely-filled configuration. Therefore, Helium is the least reactive.

b) Al

Aluminum is a chemical element that contains 13 electrons. Its electronic configuration is 2,8,3. It is chemically reactive, but not the most reactive as it exceeds the completely-filled configuration by three electrons.

c) Be

Beryllium contains 4 electrons and its electronic configuration is 2,2
