Chapter 7, Problem 1.4Q
Summary Introduction

Case Summary:

A business school plans to organize the graduation ceremony in the University’s indoor space facility. The university granted permission to the institute to use the indoor space only for six hours from 11 AM to 5 PM just after the completion of another graduation ceremony being hold by the institute of engineering. Just after finishing the graduation ceremony of the business institute, the institute of arts will take the charge of the indoor space for their function.

Interpretation:

The director of the events is little worried that the engineering institute will not start their program at the given time to finish the program by 5 PM, considering that everything will go as planned than the delay caused by the Engineering institute to start the business school’s work without causing the business school program to run past 5 PM and cause delay for the institute of Arts and sciences.
