Answer to Problem 11TE

Being water soluble, they are excreted via urination.

Explanation of Solution

The water soluble vitamins are vitamin B and vitamin C which are more tolerated by humans. The tolerance limit for water-soluble vitamins in humans is due to the reason, if the amount of water-soluble vitamin exceeds its required amount, it is flushed via urine as it is soluble in water present inside the body. Unlike water- soluble vitamins, the water-insoluble vitamins are not flushed out in the similar manner and their excess may have drastic effect over the human health.

Conclusion:

Therefore, being water soluble, they are excreted via urination.
