Introduction:
The Lineweaver–Burk plot shows the value for Michaelis–Menten constant and maximum velocity by measuring the initial reaction velocities at various substrate concentration. The 4-methylpyrazole is a potent inhibitor of alcohol dehydrogenase in ethanol glycol poisoning. It binds with the active site of the enzyme and blocks the site for the substrate.
