Chapter 17, Problem 6Q
Summary Introduction
To review:
The differences between the size andcoding capacity as well as other differences between the prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomes.
Introduction:
The genome is the complete set of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in an organism, comprising both the coding as well as noncoding regions of deoxyribonucleic acid. It is the haploid number of chromosomes present in an organism where the genome can be eitherhaploid or diploid. Genome that has half the number of chromosomes is the haploid genome and the onethat has twice the number of haploid chromosomes is the diploid genome.
