Following is a diagram of the shirt-cleaning process used by the Roods of Suds One-Day Laundry Sendees. Inc. The shirts are soaked in an agitated tub containing Whizzo, the Wonder Detergent, and are then wrung out and sent to a rinse stage. The dirty Whizzo is sent to a filter in which most of the din is removed, and the cleaned detergent is recycled back to join a stream of pure Whizzo, with the combined stream sening as the feed to the washtub.

- If a student combines specific amount CaCl2. 9H2O and Na2CO3 and obtained a solid precipitate. The student dissolve 1.37 gram of CaCl2. 9H2O in 25.0 mL of water and 0.984 g of Na2CO3 in 25.0 mL of water. The student is then combining the two solutions and observed the formation of a solid precipitate. The student filter the solution and recovered the precipitate. The following data were obtained for the experiment. Initial Mass of CaCl2. 9H2O 1.37 g Initial Mass of Na2CO3 0.984 g % yield of this experiment 87.4% 1. - A tank contains 1,143 L of brine with 15kg of dissolved salt. Pure water enters the tank at a rate of 10L/min. The solution is kept thoroughly mixed and drains from the tank at the same rate. How much salt is in the tank after 20 minutes?arrow_forwardIn the laboratory, a student was tasked to prepare a stock solution of HCl for titration. The available analytical grade HCl solution in the stock room was labelled 35% w/v HCl. The student proceeded to prepare the stock solution by mixing 10mL of the HCl solution with 490mL of analytical grade water. Then, the solution was further diluted by adding 5mL, since the total volume of the solution did not reach the 500mL etched mark on the volumetric flask. To prepare the titrant, the student mixed 10mL of the stock solution, then added 40mL of analytical grade water. The titrant was subsequently used to determine the concentration of two titrand. *Use the table as a reference 1.
