A large, long-legged antelope (Boselaphus tragocamelus) of India, the male of which has short, sturdy horns and a tuft of long hair under the chin.
ETYMOLOGY:Hindi nlg, feminine of nlgw : nl, dark blue (from Sanskrit nla-) + gw, ox, cow (from Sanskrit gau; see gwou- in Appendix I).
