ADJECTIVE:1. Being or in accordance with the current fashion: à la mode, chic, dashing, fashionable, mod, modish, posh, smart, stylish, swank, swanky. Informal : classy, in, sharp, snappy, swish, tony, trendy. Slang : with-it. Idioms: all the rage, up to the minute. See STYLE, USUAL. 2. In good order or clean condition: neat, orderly, shipshape, snug, spick-and-span, spruce, taut, tidy, trim, well-groomed. Chiefly British : tight. Idioms: neat as a pin. See CLEAN, ORDER.
