Morava, river, Serbia
 
 
or Velika Morava (vkä môr´ävä) (KEY) , river, 134 mi (216 km) long, formed at Stala, E Serbia, by the junction of the Zapadna Morava and the Juna Morava. It flows N to the Danube River. The Morava’s wide valley is fertile and densely populated. Along with the Vardar River it is a major transportation corridor of the Balkan Peninsula.
