(mär´yänsk läz´ny) (KEY) , Ger. Marienbad, town (1991 pop. 15,382), W central Czech Republic, in Bohemia. It is a world-famous spa, with many curative mineral springs and baths, situated on the grounds of a 12th-century abbey. Mariánské Lázn has been the site of numerous international congresses.
